ak fournier (she/her/elle) is a multidisciplinary queer artist originally from Okanagan/Syilx territory (Kelowna, BC). She holds a bachelor's degree in film production, four years of experience in the casting/talent industry, and over fifteen years of experience in various aspects of theatre. In addition to directing for theatre and film, she enjoys writing, music, video games, graphic design, and sound and costume design. ak gravitates towards naturalism, dark humour, and gritty stories about identity, relationships, queerness, and underdogs. She makes art for "the misfits…the losers…the rock 'n' rollers". After departing NTS, ak plans to create a multimedia theatre piece that reflects her experience as a neurodivergent person in the arts, and hopes to pursue teaching theatre in correctional facilities.
