Hannah Fisher

Scénographie - Set and Costume Design (2019)

Hannah Rae Fisher is a storyteller shaped by her prairie roots. Pulling from all facets of her artistic diversity as a visual artist, writer, performer and designer, Hannah creates worlds that fuse the mundane with the strange. Absorbed with creative challenges within Performance Art during her studies in Visual Arts at Emily Carr University of Art and Design (BFA 2016), she further informed her practice at the National Theatre School of Canada through scenography. Recently Hannah has developed a keen interest in Creative Collaboration through working with Maiko Yamamoto, who has become a pivotal influence.

Hannah offers to push a re-questioning of one’s perspective of stories to be confronted by the illogical fictions of our realities. With a patchwork of inspirations and a background in Fine Arts and Theatre, Hannah intends to explore the grey zone of performance between the white cube and the black box.
