Jessica Rose is an actor, performer and theatre creator based in Toronto, ON. She has been performing in projects since the age of 15, specializing in devised and physical theatre since graduating from Humber College’s Theatre Performance program.
While training at the National Theatre School of Canada, Jessica has worked with incredible artists, including Jessica B. Hill, Nancy Benjamin, Haysam Kadri, Ruth Madoc-Jones, Jackie Maxwell, Marla McLean, Rebecca Northan, Rose Plotek, Tim Welham, Maiko Yamamoto and many more. Outside of the school, Jessica has worked with Daniele Bartolini, Diana Belshaw, Paul de Jong, Fides Krucker, Clare Preuss and Richard Lee.
Upon graduation, Jessica is interested in continuing in devised and creation work, as well as acting in a variety of genres, including classical, contemporary, musical theatre and film/tv. She plans on training to become an ASL interpreter and to translate live shows for hearing impaired audience members.
Jessica is passionate about new work, classics, and absurd theatre. Openness, playing and diving into the unknown gives her a great sense of joy in her work. It is important to her that all future work is done in a safe environment where all voices are heard, valued and respected.
