Jeremy Lewis

    Acting (2023)

Jeremy Lewis is an artist of mixed-race heritage, predominantly Trinidadian and French-Canadian, born and based in Tio’tia:ke (Montreal).

Initially interested in pursuing a career in jazz-trombone, Jeremy has always had an interest in the arts. It was at the age of 18 years old that they shifted their focus to acting in their studies at John Abbott College. During their time at JAC, they had the opportunity to play such roles as Dr. Faustus in Dr. Faustus, Black Stache in Peter and the Starcatcher, and Moonface Martin in Anything Goes, to name a few.

They then went on to study acting at the National Theatre School of Canada as a part of the graduating class of 2023, getting to work with the likes of Jackie Maxwell, Graeme Somerville, Alisa Palmer, Danielle Irvine, Christine Quintana, Jiv Parasram, Eda Holmes, Rebecca Harper, and Jessica Carmichael; again, just to name a few.

As an artist, they find inspiration in exploring intersections of identity and in the perspective of what one side of one’s own identity can offer in the analysis of another side.
