Leslie Hernandez

    Leslie Hernandez is a theatre practitioner specializing in production management and technical direction originally from Windsor, Ontario. Though she considers management her expertise, she is also notably an interdisciplinary artist who often seeks new and intriguing challenges. Recently graduating from the Production Design & Technical Arts program at the National Theatre School of Canada, Leslie also holds a Bachelor of Science in Honours Chemistry with Thesis and a Certificate of Arts Management from the University of Windsor. She aims to keep working on relevant and innovative theatre pieces throughout Canada and looks forward to the diverse future of Canadian theatre that is inclusive of everyone -- regardless of their race, gender, or ability.

    Leslie credits her growth and successes to her invaluable mentors during her time at NTS, namely Andrea Lundy, Peter 'Spike' Lyne, Kaileigh Krysztofiak, Guillaume Simard, Steve Lucas, Dave Surette, Dean Fleming, Rob Denton, Kathryn Westoll, Leigh Ann Vardy, Maria Popoff, and Terri Gillis.


    Related Skills & Certifications: Fluent in Filipino (Tagalog), CPR and AED Training, Fall Arrest and Protection Training, Ontario G Class Driver’s Licence. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Vectorworks, AutoCAD, Lightwright, Pro Tools, QLab, Isadora, Adobe After Effects, and ETC Programming.
