Brynn Godenir

    Acting (2020)

Brynn Godenir is a theatre and film actor born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She began taking dance lessons at the age of two, when her passion for performance first presented itself.

It was Brynn’s dedication to learning and her love for classical text that eventually brought her to the National Theatre School of Canada. During her time at NTS, she has had the opportunity to study with incredible mentors, such as Ian Watson, David Latham, Jackie Maxwell, Quincy Armorer, Anita Nittoly, Graeme Somerville, and Deborah Hay. She has also performed in numerous productions at NTS including Love and Information (dir. Alisa Palmer), Romeo and Juliet (dir. Danielle Irvine), Indra's Web (dir. Arianna Bardesono and Zach Fraser) Burning Vision (dir. Mike Payette), and Nell Gwynn (dir. Krista Jackson).

Some of Brynn’s favourite roles include Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, Antigone in Antigone (dir. Carolyn Gray), Enid Hoops in Legally Blonde: The Musical (dir. Cheyenne Schroeder), and Titania in A Midsummer Nights Dream (dir. Ari Weinberg).

Brynn loves to create through movement and has been focusing on developing her voice as a singer. Moving forward, she hopes to continue exploring art in all its theatrical forms. As an artist, her goal is to engage in continuous learning, take risks, and enter every room with a sense of play!
