Rochelle Laplante

    Acting (2019)

    Rochelle has always known she loved to perform. Growing up in Edmonton, she danced from a young age and was always singing. She used to be in a cover band called Some Assembly Required and has played soccer for much of her life. She likes to keep herself busy and is constantly learning new skills. When she found theatre she knew it was her passion. She loves to create worlds and has a deep passion for classical text.

    At NTS she has had the opportunity to explore Shakespeare with Ian Watson and David Latham. She also worked on Shaw with Marla McLean and Graeme Somerville. For the show 7 Stories she worked with Philip Akin, and in Serious Money she will work with Lezlie Wade.

    She was part of a workshop for Kitsault the Musical created by Doug Price and Carl Pucl. In the Edmonton Fringe she played Lady Bracknell in The Empress of Blanding’s production of The Importance of Being Earnest.
